Originals

A woman in a black shirt sits at a desk, using a stylus to work on a pixelated mosaic art piece on a canvas, with sunlight coming through a window behind her.

Each original begins as a grid, a map of measured squares drawn by hand, coloured one at a time. Within that structure, familiar faces emerge: icons of culture reconstructed through patience, precision, and emotion. My work embraces nostalgia in geometric form, where memory and design meet in unison.

commissions

My commissioned portraits are an extension of my signature process; hand-drawn, pixelated interpretations of the cultural icons who shaped our shared nostalgia. Each piece is built square by square using coloured pencil, transforming familiar faces into geometric, modern works of art that feel both precise and deeply human. Every commission is personal, a collaboration that celebrates the stories, music, and films that connect us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every commission is unique, but these are the questions I’m asked most often. I hope they help make the process clear and easy.

  • Each commission is worked on individually, so timings depend on the size and complexity of the piece. As a guide, larger drawings typically take around 6–8 weeks once started. I’ll always confirm an estimated timeframe with you before beginning, and keep you updated along the way.

  • Yes, you’re welcome to choose the subject. Because of the pixelated nature of this work, recognisable faces tend to work best, as strong features and familiar likenesses translate more clearly at this scale. I’m always happy to advise if you’re unsure whether a particular subject will suit the style.

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and begin work. The remaining 50% is due on completion, once you’ve seen the finished piece and before it’s released or shipped.

  • I ship worldwide, from the UK and take great care to package each piece securely for its journey. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times depend on your location and will be confirmed before your artwork is sent. International orders may be subject to customs charges, which are set by the destination country.

  • To protect the artwork during shipping, all pieces are sent unframed. This also gives you the freedom to choose a frame that suits your space. Most professional framers are very familiar with working from unframed originals and can advise on the best options.
